There are no victims of quake in Azerbaijan, the preliminary data shows.
According to Azeri media, there damaged houses in several areas, as well as there are interruptions of electricity. Currently, there is only information about one injured, who was found under the wreckage of the shed.
As previously stated, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia informed that the MES “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency on Wednesday recorded a magnitude-5.3 earthquake in Azerbaijan, at 11:48pm local time, 68 km south of Mingachevir town.
The hypocenter of the quake was 10km beneath the surface.
This seismic activity measured magnitude 7 at the epicenter, which was 79 km from the state border of Armenia.
The earthquake was felt virtually all over Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), where it measured magnitude 2-3 and 3-4, respectively.
