Ousted Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri has accepted an invitation to come to Paris, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian  after meeting Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, Reuters reported.

Jean-Yves Le Drian in Riyadh did not name the exact date of Hariri's visit.

French President Emmanuel Macron traveled to Saudi Arabia last week after leaving the United Arab Emirates to see Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discuss crises in Lebanon, Yemen and the wider region.

Earlier, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced his resignation when being in Saudi Arabia, as he feared for his life. Many observers suspected Riyadh forced Hariri to resign and, perhaps, hold him in Saudi Arabia against his will. Hariri has denied being kept in custody by Saudi Arabia and wrote on Twitter that he was “perfectly fine” and would return soon, adding that his family was staying in Saudi Arabia.
