The office of Saad Hariri, who announced his resignation as Lebanese prime minister, said he will visit Egypt on Tuesday, reported Reuters news agency.

Hariri is currently in France, at the invitation of President Emanuel Macron.

In Paris, Saad Hariri stated that he soon will visit the Lebanese capital city Beirut, where, after meeting with the country’s president, he will state his position with respect to the political crisis caused by his resignation.

Saad Hariri, who also holds Saudi citizenship, unexpectedly announced his resignation as Lebanese prime minister in a televised broadcast from Saudi Arabia on November 4.
