YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Tuesday received Swiss Ambassador Lukas Gasser.

First, the PM noted that there is a high-level political discourse between the two countries, and that Switzerland is one of Armenia’s primary economic partners among European countries, press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, Karapetyan said quite a big progress has been made this year in bilateral economic cooperation between both countries.

“Armenia can also be a quite interesting platform for Swiss businesses,” he added, in particular.

Ambassador Gasser, for his part, also noted that significant growth has been recorded this year in bilateral economic cooperation, and that new investors are visiting Armenia.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for further deepening of Armenia-Switzerland economic ties, and reflected on the Armenian PM’s participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
