The head of France's Front National party Marine Le Pen received a notice on Wednesday from HSBC Bank over the closure of her personal account, a politician told reporters.

According to her, the Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management Thomas Vandeville, has personally informed her by telephone, Reuters reported.

Thomas Vandeville linked the closure of her account to a lack of personal information about the holder, said Le Pen.

Earlier, the largest French bank Societe Generale officially demanded from the National Front to close all accounts held by the party in this financial institution.

According to Le Pen, the lawsuits will be initiated against Societe Generale and HSBC, respectively.
