YEREVAN. – There is black ice, as of Thursday 9am, on some motorways in Armenia, informed the Ministry of Emergency Situations. 

Sleet and snow are expected on Thursday and Friday, in a large part of the country’s regions.

There is snow in Kotayk, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Lori Provinces.

In addition, there is fog in Syunik Province.

All drivers are advised to travel in and toward the aforesaid provinces solely with winter tires.

And according to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, the country’s Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is open for all vehicles.
