YEREVAN. – There are no Armenians among the victims of Batumi’s Leogrand hotel fire, spiritual pastor of the Armenian Church Surb Prkich in Batumi, Priest Ararat Gumbalyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to Gumbalyan, ten citizens of Georgia and one Iranian citizen were killed as a result of fire in Georgia’s seaside town of Batumi.
Hundreds of people were evacuated from the hotel including the guests and local staff. Those with heavy injuries and intoxication were sent to hospitals.
