YEREVAN. – Integration is a multilateral process, said deputy from the opposition Yelk bloc Stepan Safaryan.
The Armenian lawmakers are debating the draft of the statement of the National Assembly “On the start of the process of denunciation of the Republic of Armenia from the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union” that was presented by Yelk opposition group.
According to him, Armenia's ineffective membership in the Eurasian Economic Union does not indicate any multilateral integration.
“Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union was due solely to ensuring safety,” said Safaryan, adding that the states restrict their sovereign rights only under guarantees of security, but it did not happened in case of Armenia.
