Global telecoms operator VEON, (previously known as VimpelCom), is on the path of important transformation that will affect corporate culture, technical areas and investment in talent, VEON Supervisory Board Chairman Ursula Burns said during a meeting with the representatives of Armenian online media outlets.

“The new changes will be made in three directions. First, the company will invest in digital projects. Secondly, there will be investment in talent, and thirdly, we will try to change our corporate culture in an attempt to modernize it, and, of course we can leverage diversity,” she said.

The company has great projects and the Supervisory Board wish to see VEON among the leading telecommunication companies using innovative approach.

Armenia is a very important market for VEON and it following group strategy stands out by innovative approach. The Armenian market is profitable and is responsive to the new offers. Armenia is also a leader in terms of creating and applying new technologies, new ideas and programs, whereas team leader Andrey Pyatakhin is a person with global business mentality, and we appreciate it very much, she added.
