UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the launch of yet another ballistic missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
“This is a clear violation of Security Council resolutions and shows complete disregard for the united view of the international community,” he said in a statement.
The Secretary-General urges the DPRK to desist from taking any further destabilising steps. The Secretary-General reaffirms his commitment to working with all parties to reduce tensions.
NATO Secretary General Yens Stoltenberg called North Korea’s actions “further breach of multiple UN Security Council Resolutions, undermining regional and international security.”
Spokesperson for EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said the launch “represents a further grave provocation, and a serious threat to international security.”
