YEREVAN. – The price of Russian natural gas for Armenia will remain unchanged until the end of 2018.

At the meeting of Cabinet on Thursday Armenian energy minister Ashot Manukyan presented an agreement on prices for natural gas concluded between the executive bodies of Armenia and Russia.

The Minister noted that about a month ago an agreement was reached at the meeting of the Prime Ministers of Russia and Armenia, according to which this agreement was fixed by this amendment.

“The amendment suggests that the price of imported Russian natural gas remains unchanged till the end of 2018,” Manukyan said, adding that in 2018 the price for gas will be 150 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan presented the groups to which benefits apply. These include processing enterprises, greenhouses, socially unprotected population, as well as border villages.
