The Saudi Air Force intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen on December 1, DW reports referring to SPA.

According to the news agency, which refers to representatives of the military coalition opposed to the Houthis rebels, the missile was launched towards the province of Asir, in the south-west of Saudi Arabia. No casualties were reported as a result of the launch and interception. The rocket was destroyed.

Earlier, Al-Masira TV, close to the Houthis’s, reported the successful test of a medium-range ballistic missile aimed at a military goal in Saudi Arabia. The rocket, according to Al-Masira, hit the target. This launch was already the sixth over the last month. As a response to Yemen's military actions, the coalition led by Saudi Arabia imposed a blockade on all Yemeni airports and seaports, later making an exception for delivering humanitarian aid.
