YEREVAN. – In case of ratification of agreement between Armenia and NATO, 21 units of heavy military equipment would be utilized, Armenian deputy defense minister Artak Zakaryan said in parliament on Tuesday.

The main activities of NATO Support and Procurement agency is the acquisition and provision of relevant products, technical support and implementation of the NATO Trust program for the armies of NATO member countries, Zakryan said during debates.

“Negotiations were conducted with different states. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense participated. During the talks, Germany agreed to provide funds and lead the Trust,” Zakaryan said, adding that this was done because of the high level of Armenian-German relations.

During the implementation of the program, as noted by the Armenian official, it is planned to utilize almost 140 units of military equipment that have been expired and are not subject to further use.
