Nissan Motor revealed the Easy Ride project for autonomous cars on Tuesday in Yokohama, Nissan-global.com reported. 

According to the company’s press service, the public field test will take place from March 5, 2018, to March 18, 2018.

Easy Ride is for anyone who wants to travel freely to their destination of choice in a robo-vehicle. Nissan plans to use a remote monitoring system to ensure customer safety.

The project has been developed in collaboration with DeNA.Co. Nissan and DeNA started collaborating to develop a new mobility service that uses autonomous driving technology in January 2017.

Nissan Motor manufactures over 60 car models by Nissan, INFINITI and Datsun. It sold around over 5.63 million cars in 2016.  DeNA, founded in 1999, is a provider of mobile portal and e-commerce websites based in Japan.
