YEREVAN. – The National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday unanimously passed—with 90 votes—the bill on ratification of the agreement regarding assistance to cooperation between Armenia and the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation.

Under this agreement, NATO will provide €1.5 million to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, in order to destroy 140 units of military equipment and 21 units of armored combat vehicles that have become obsolete.

In addition, the Armenian parliament passed—by 92 votes in favor—the draft law on ratification of the agreement with respect to Russia providing a national export loan to Armenia.

This refers to Russia allocating a $100mn export loan, which will be used to fund the supply of Russian-made military products to Armenia.
