A 4.2-magnitude earthquake rocked the southern Iranian Province of Bushehr on Wednesday, IRNA reported quoting the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University.

The earthquake tremor occurred at 11:27am with its epicenter being near the city of Dayyer with a depth of 20 km.

The governor of Dayyer Hamzeh Etemad said no report of fatality or damage has been received.

“The disaster management organization of the region is on full alert,” he said.

Dayyer is 200 kilometers to the south of the provincial capital city, Bushehr.

Two 4.9- and 3.8-magnitude quakes jolted Dayyer and the adjacent city, Kangan, on Tuesday. Sixteen people were injured in the two earthquakes.
