YEREVAN. – Political ties between France and Armenia are excellent, noted Jonathan Lacôte, French Ambassador to Armenia, at a press conference on Tuesday.

The diplomat added that he wishes to contribute to the development of bilateral relations in several other directions. In this connection, the French ambassador stressed, first and foremost, the importance of university and general education.

“There are many French companies that want to strengthen relations with Armenian companies in the IT sector,” Lacôte highlighted, in particular.

“We seek to assist Armenia in developing this domain.”

In his words, France is interested in the creation of a French-language education system in Armenia. 

“My wish is to further deepen [French-Armenian] relations and to open new prospects,” added Jonathan Lacôte.
