YEREVAN. –  President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday received Romanian Ambassador Sorin Vasile, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

First, Sargsyan thanked the ambassador for his efforts to strengthen Armenian-Romanian relations during his tenure, and wish him success in his future activities, press office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, Serzh Sargsyan stressed that Armenia has always underscored deepening of cooperation and relations with Romania. He recorded that the level of Armenia-Romania mutual understanding on political matters has risen considerably in recent years. In addition, the President thanked the Romanian people and authorities for their caring disposition towards the Romanian Armenian community and Armenian heritage in Romania. 

Ambassador Vasile, for his part, considered it a great honor for him to assume office in Armenia, and assured that he will leave Armenia with very good impressions and remain a friend of the Armenian people and Armenia.
