Spanish law enforcement officers and customs service found 520 kg of cocaine at the port of Valencia, said Spanish Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido, RIA Novosti reported.

The drugs were found in the container on a ship that made several stops on the way to Spain in a number of Latin American countries. The investigation took about year. During the operation, 800 containers were inspected at the port.

This is the third successful operation in the last 15 days, during which Spanish law enforcement agencies and customs officers discovered large quantities of drugs. 

Spanish law enforcement agencies found 30.9 tons of cocaine, 440 kg of heroin, 16.5 tons of marijuana and 816 thousand hemps in 2017.
