YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also Chairman of the National Security Council of Armenia, on Friday convened a meeting of this council.

The discussants conferred on the avenues for development of the military and industrial complex of Armenia, and strengthening of the foundations for the fight against terrorism.

As a result of the talk, several respective instructions were given to the government.

In terms of combating terrorism, the President of Armenia underscored the improvement of operative intelligence activities, enhancing of the capabilities of counterterrorism units, expansion of respective international cooperation, and exchange of the corresponding advanced track-record.
