Toronto police reported that Canadian billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife Honey died after being strangled with a rope, RIA Novosti reports.

The police said that forensic medical examination was conducted both yesterday and today. The cause of death of both was ligature neck compression.

On Saturday, it was reported that the founder of the pharmaceutical company Apotex, billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife Honey were found dead in their house in Toronto. Police said they treat the deaths as “suspicious.”

Canadian Business magazine previously included Sherman in the list of the richest people in Canada.
