YEREVAN. – The government of Armenia will do everything so that the growth in exports continues.

Tigran Khachatryan, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments, on Thursday told about the above-said to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government.

In his words, the government will continue its policy of increasing the export of goods and services, since economic growth depends considerably on external demand.

Speaking about the 7-percent GDP growth that is projected for the current year in Armenia, Khachatryan noted that the 5-percent long-term indicator is envisioned by the government program, and all efforts will be directed at its implementation.

In the context of ensuring the GDP growth, the minister underscored the external climate, too.

Tigran Khachatryan added that numbers attest to the indicators, it is impossible to “draw” these numbers, and the assertions about an economic growth are well-grounded.
