Batuhan Yaşar, a journalist of Turkey’s Türkiye (Turkey) newspaper, has written that former President Abdullah Gül will soon enter the political arena.

Yaşar noted that Gül will take some respective steps in February.

“He [Gül] is preparing very seriously,” the journalist wrote, in particular. “Let me say right away that this is the first phase.”

Several days ago, Abdullah Gül openly criticized the current Turkish authorities for the first time.

Subsequently, incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated—bearing Gül in mind—that their former members had no right to criticize them.
