Gorgias Press academic publisher in the United States has published the English translation of the manual, entitled Introduction to Aramean and Syriac Studies, by Yerevan State University lecturer, philologist Arman Akopian.

The manual was originally published in Armenian in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, in 2015, and it had caused great interest among foreign specialists; and this had brought about the need for an English translation of this book. 

The approximately 600-page work provides a comprehensive description of the “history, language, culture, and religion of the Aramean/Syriac people from the ancient times, through to the  modern day,” reads the overview of this manual.
