Garo Paylan, Istanbul Armenian MP from the opposition and pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) of Turkey, testified at the capital city Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the statement he had made several days ago.

And after leaving the prosecutor’s office, Paylan told reporters that he had said at the prosecutor’s office that Turks are plotting assassinations in Europe against prominent figures that have left Turkey, according to Cumhuriyet (Republic) newspaper of the country.

“There is [Istanbul Armenian journalist] Hrant Dink’s case in Turkey; they also targeted him through the press,” added the Armenian MP of Turkey. “He was my friend. I told him to go from Turkey, but he decided to stay and was killed.

“At present, Turkish journalists and Kurdish [political] party figures are targeted, too.”
