YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will announce the name of the candidate to serve as Armenia’s fourth president on Friday, spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters.

RPA members have discussed the name of a candidate “who will worthily represent Armenia in the world,” he added. This candidate has a great experience and positive reputation in Armenia and the Diaspora.

“Serzh Sargsyan nominated a candidate, and members of the RPA executive body voted for,” he added.

According to rumors, the candidate proposed by RPA is Armenia’s Ambassador to UK Armen Sargsyan.
