Facebook intends to open three centers in the European Union counties to train people in digital skills, Reuters reported. 

“People are worried that the digital revolution is leaving people behind and we want to make sure that we’re investing in digital skills to get people the skills they need to fully participate in the digital economy,” Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer, told Reuters.

These centers will appear in Spain, Poland and Italy. Facebook intends to spend about $ 12.2 million in France through its artificial intelligence research facility.

The EU discusses proposals to impose an additional tax on large US technology companies, including Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg and three of his fellow students founded Facebook on February 4, 2004. The monthly audience of the social network exceeds 2 billion users all over the world. Zuckerberg said that social network intends to increase the number of Internet users to 5 billion by 2030.
