YEREVAN. – When an offer comes for a meeting, the Way Out bloc will certainly meet with ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) presidential candidate, ambassador to UK Armen Sarkissian, listen to him and discuss matters, but it will vote against his candidacy.

Ararat Mirzoyan, an MP from the National Assembly “Way Out” Faction opposition bloc, on Monday noted about the aforementioned at a briefing with reporters at parliament.

Mirzoyan said Sarkissian does not share the “heavy load” of the RPA.

“He has not particularly stood out either in the election fraud mechanism or in other state scandals,” he added. “Nonetheless, he is the candidate of the RPA, and that is already telling”

Even though Way Out had nominated its NA faction member Artak Zeynalyan as its presidential candidate, he had not received the needed parliamentary support.

According to preliminary information, the Armenia presidential election in the National Assembly is slated for March 2.
