PARIS. – Armenia appreciates France's approaches and continued efforts as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group involved in the settlement of Karabakh conflict, President Serzh Sargsyan said after his meeting with Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

The sides touched upon the Karabakh peace process during the talks on Tuesday, he said.

“We highly appreciate the approaches and long-term efforts of France, as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict and the establishment of security, stability and cooperation in our region. Armenia is committed to the process of continuing negotiations through the mediation of the co-chairs,” Sargsyan said.

He once again repeated that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh are fighting for freedom, self-determination, and such a struggle could not but be successful.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is on a three-day working visit to France.
