The Council of Europe (CoE) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) should speak the same language when facing important challenges in the region.

The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Wednesday wrote about the aforesaid, in particular, in his note in the PACE Golden Book.

Sargsyan arrived in Strasbourg, France, on Tuesday evening, to attend and address the PACE winter session.

His respective schedule began with a talk with newly elected PACE President Michele Nicoletti.

Before this meeting, however, the Armenian President signed the PACE Golden Book.

Subsequently, he met with CoE Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland.

But before that, the President was on hand at the signing ceremony of several CoE conventions.  Thorbjørn Jagland and Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian signed these documents, which will complement the about eighty international agreements which Armenia already has signed within the framework of the CoE.

Sargsyan signed the CoE Golden Book, too.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and CoE Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland summed up the results of their talk with statements before the media.
