STRASBOURG. – Turkey is a powerful state and Armenia’s potential cannot be compared, but this does not mean that Turkey can speak with us a language of preconditions, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said in his address to the PACE delegates on Wednesday.
“We would not accept such an attitude,” President said.
He recalled that there was no word about preconditions in the protocols signed by the countries to establish diplomatic relations. Before the launch of the negotiations, the document clearly stated there should be no preconditions, but now Armenia keeps hearing again that certain step must be taken.
“In the international experience we have not come upon such examples,” Sargsyan emphasized.
He also recalled that Turkey was the only country in the world to support military actions unleashed in April 2016 by Azerbaijan.
