YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan of Armenia on Wednesday met with his Lebanese counterpart, Saad Hariri.

Karapetyan noted that Armenia and Lebanon have strong and friendly relations, and the Armenian government is interested in further deepening and expanding them, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, the PM briefed his Lebanese colleague on the economic development trends and ongoing reforms in Armenia, and noted that the Armenian government is determined to continue the reforms.

Reflecting on the prospects for deepening economic cooperation, Karapetyan said Armenia could interest Lebanese businessmen and investors.

Hariri, in turn, noted that they plan to work closely with Armenia and Armenian businesses and they stand ready to take respective specific steps. 

Also, Saad Hariri invited Karen Karapetyan for a visit to Lebanon, and the Armenian PM gladly accepted the invitation.
