YEREVAN. – Mexico’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Norma Pensado Moreno on Thursday presented the copy of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Congratulating the ambassador in connection with the appointment, Nalbandian expressed a hope that, with his activities, the new Mexican ambassador will stimulate the enlargement of relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Moreno assured that she would do everything possible to further deepen and strengthen bilateral cooperation. 

The parties discussed a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, exchanged views on the possibilities for further expanding ties in a number of areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors stressed the importance of intensifying contacts in the inter-parliamentary format, cooperation on international platforms, and expansion of the legal framework. During the meeting, a number of regional and international issues were touched upon.

Minister Nalbandian informed the interlocutor about the latest developments in the Karabakh conflict, joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries on an exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
