YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on a working visit, on Friday met with Kazakh Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

Karapetyan noted that trade between the two countries has increased by 51.2 percent in the first eleven months of last year, as compared with the same period in 2016, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The two PMs shared the view that it is indispensable to continue efforts to improve these indicators and further deepen economic ties.

The Armenian Premier stressed that there are numerous promising projects in both countries.

The interlocutors reflected on cooperation in several domains, and implementation of joint projects.

Also, PM Karapetyan briefed his Kazakh colleague on the potential of the Meghri Free Economic Zone, which opened in November 2017 on the Armenian-Iranian border.
