YEREVAN. – Armenian-Swiss economic relations the prospects for development, the President of Swiss National Council Dominique de Buman said during Armenia-Switzerland business meeting in Yerevan on Monday.

According to him, this can already be ascertained summing up 2017.

“We met the Prime Minister of Armenia during the recent economic forum in Davos. The sides mainly discussed agriculture, industrial equipment and other economic issues,” said Buman.

Dominique de Buman noted that he first visited Armenia ten years ago and he has high assessment of the positive economic shift in Armenia during these years which can contribute to the reduction in migration.

He highlighted the development of agriculture in Armenia, particularly, the wine industry.

Armenia has high-quality wine and the raw material for its production, Buman said, adding that new technologies can be brought to the republic from Switzerland to make the products more competitive.

Dominique de Buman emphasized that some enterprises in Armenia are already using Swiss technologies.
