Two Russian women said they were assaulted and robbed in Gyumri. Yerevan resident Natalya V. told police that her hand was twisted and her purse was stolen, while the muggers had fled.

The women suspect the taxi driver of this mugging.

Medical examination revealed that both women were under the influence of alcohol.

One person was killed and five others were injured in a heavy snowfall in Moscow. The snowstorm caused huge traffic jams, canceled around 200 flights and toppled numerous trees.

This amount of snowfall in the Russian capital city is the largest over the past sixty years.  The flights to Yerevan were also delayed.
