Russia's leading long-distance telephony provider Rostelecom is considering the possibility of selling a GNC-Alfa, its affiliate in Armenia, said the head of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky..

“We have no task to sell it, but, as our practice and the practice of other global players show, such cross-country synergy is not obvious,” he said, adding “We have different legislation, different products, so we are thinking about how to organize our work efficiently. Maybe, we should sell it.”

GNC-Alfa, the largest independent Internet and data provider in Armenia, has sold 75% minus one share to Rostelecom OJSC in 2012 for $ 22.5 million.
