NATO is going to build new planning and management center in Germany to increase its combat capability, DW reported quoting DPA agency.

According to the source, the allies have agreed to accept a related offer from German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen.

The location for center could become the Cologne-Bonn region. The center will not be integrated into NATO’s command structure and can be used for intra-German exercises as well.

Another NATO headquarters will be set up in the U.S. The final decision will be made next week.
