The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have called on Iran and Syria to end straining the situation and to stop their aggression at the northern border of Israel, reported TASS news agency of Russia.
Jonathan Conricus, Spokesman & Head of Social Media of the IDF, made such a statement on Twitter, as he commented on the launching of an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) toward Israeli airspace.
“Iran is the aggressor here. They sent a UAV on a military mission, violating Israeli sovereignty,” he wrote on his Twitter account. “The IDF is ready for all scenarios, urging Iran and Syria to cease aggression.”
On early Saturday morning, the Israeli military hit an Iranian drone which had entered the country’s airspace from Syria; and in response, they launched an airstrike on “Iranian targets” in Syria.
Later, the Israeli army press service informed that an Israeli F-16 jet had crashed in the north of the country; but its pilots had ejected safely.
