YEREVAN. – It is apparent that the OSCE Minsk Group statements on maintaining ceasefire are addressed to Azerbaijan.

Vahram Baghdasaryan, head of the ruling “Republican Party of Armenia” (RPA) Faction at the National Assembly (NA), noted the above-said at Monday’s parliamentary briefings.

In his words, the Azerbaijani side does everything possible to discredit the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) peace process, and the Minsk Group co-chairs realize this very well.

“We have to finally introduce those mechanisms and technical means for monitoring of the ceasefire regime,” Baghdasaryan said. “However, the Azerbaijani side isn’t interested in it.”

At the same time, as per the RPA NA faction leader, although the Armenian side has repeatedly demanded to clearly note the party that is guilty of incidents at the Karabakh conflict zone, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs attempt to avoid this, and which, according to Baghdasaryan, becomes a factor in the aggravation of the conflict.

In addition, Vahram Baghdasaryan stated that the Armenian side needs to make every effort so that the international community gives a specific and clear assessment to Baku’s actions.
