The Russian border guards in Armenia detained a Turkish citizen, who illegally crossed the Armenian-Turkish border and attempted to fish in Armenia. The man was detained on the bank of Akhurian River.

He confessed to committing this offense.

Tension over Karabakh could devolve into a large- scale military conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, says the report published by U.S. intelligence.

Armenia's sole alpine skier at the 2018 Winter Olympics Ashot Karapetyan said he is not training because he does not have appropriate equipment.

He said the Armenian Olympic Committee did not provide him with new skis before the Olympics. The Committee ordered new skis that have not been transported to Pyeongchang yet.

“If I do not get new skis, I will refuse to participate in competitions,” he said.
