YEREVAN. – A reception was held Wednesday at the embassy of Armenia, on behalf of chairman Ara Babloyan of the National Assembly (NA), who is on a working visit to Moscow.
The event brought together ambassadors of 12 countries, Russian MPs, officials, and Armenian community representatives, the NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his remarks at the event, Babloyan underscored the role of the Armenian community in Russia.
“The Armenian community’s involvement in Russia’s public and political, economic and cultural life is increasing year after year,” the Armenian parliament speaker noted, in particular. “After gaining independence, the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation have steadily developed [their] allied cooperation for a quarter century.
“We are together, and we will be together for centuries.”
