A mother and her daughter were found dead under a bridge in Yerevan on Thursday.

The law enforcers found the bodies of 37-year-old resident of Yerevan and her 9-year-old daughter. Both went missing three days ago.

The US sanctions’ risk in case of technico-military cooperation with Russia is exaggerated, but that does not mean that it should be disregarded, Armenian official said on Thursday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan commented on the reports saying the US embassy had warned the Armenian government that a matter of sanctions may arise if Armenia were to seal substantial technico-military deals with Russia.

Netherlands' Christian Union party put into circulation two new bills on the Armenian Genocide, representatives of the local Armenian community said.

Joël Voordewind has drafted two bills to submit to the parliament. One is to confirm the 2004 decision to recognize the Armenian Genocide. The second is a decision imposing a visit of the Dutch government’s representative to Yerevan to honor memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Seventeen people were killed in a shooting in a Florida public school on Wednesday. 

Physicians have said three of the victims are in critical condition.

The sheriff has confirmed the reports on the arrest of the suspect in this shooting. He is Nikolas Cruz who was expelled from this school for disciplinary reasons.

The Armenian government decided to provide a territory of 97.4 hectares for the construction of a photovoltaic power station in the community of Masrik

Overall, there have been licenses for the construction of more 11 solar power stations throughout Armenia. The total capacity of all heliostations in Armenia will reach 75 MW in the next six months.

The Armenian national squad have dropped one spot from the previous World Ranking and are now 91st in the new FIFA standings. The squad’s once 30th ranking, however, was a record-breaking high for the country.

Reigning world champions Germany still top the standings.
