The Urartu Museum, which is being built for a long time nearby the Fortress of Van in Turkey, will open its doors to visitors, as of April 10.

The museum, with a 54,000-square-meter area and a 13,000-square-meter indoor section, will be one of the largest museums in Turkey, according to Demokrathaber website of the country.

More than 87,000 exhibits linked to the history of Van will be displayed at the museum

To note, however, Turkish authorities avoid stressing “Armenian” or “Armenia,” in connection with the history of Van.
