Speaking at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said solely Europe must decide who will come to this continent, and that the inflow of migrants may undermine peace and prosperity in Europe, reported TASS news agency of Russia.

“The Arab Spring became a winter in the Gulf; there is pressure in Africa, in terms of migration flows,” Kurz stressed, in particular. “There is a huge potential of conflicts here.”

“To ensure peace in the EU we got rid of the borders in the EU a long time ago, but without proper external border protection these borders are in danger. If we don’t do that, our entire world will be in danger,” he added.

“Only if we decide who can come to us, and only if we ourselves protect the borders can we ensure the EU without domestic borders will also be a given in the future,” the Austrian chancellor also noted.
