YEREVAN. – There are some forces in Syria that are not interested in the establishment of peace in this country and in the region. 

Giro Manoyan, head of the Political Affairs Bureau and the Armenian Cause Office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday.

As per Manoyan, the Syrian settlement issue is quite complicated and uncertain.

“Destabilization in Syria can directly ‘hit’ Armenia, since we are very close to this region,” he added. 

At the same time, the ARF official stressed that, considering this factor, the Armenian side should be alert and should closely follow the development of events in the region, so that it can properly address the existing and still emerging challenges.
