Chargé d’Affaires of the Dutch embassy in Ankara has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Turkey, in connection with the Armenian Genocide-related motions to be debated on at the legislature of the Netherlands.

The chargé d’affaires was conveyed Turkey’s discontent with respect to the Armenian Genocide-recognizing motions that are on the agenda of the Dutch parliament, reported Haberler news portal of Turkey.

Holland has recognized Armenian Genocide years ago. But the new motion envisages ensuring a visit, at the level of a Dutch minister, to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan on April 24, the anniversary of this tragedy.
