Two Kuwaiti royal family members were found guilty of insulting the speaker of the country’s National Assembly, AP reported.

Sheikh Athbi Al Sabah, a nephew of Kuwaiti ruling emir and former head of Kuwaiti National Security Administration, the publisher of the closed Al Watan newspaper, Sheikh Khalifa Al-Sabah received five years in prison and almost $ 17,000 in fine.

The case involved a group that spread fabricated videos of Kuwaiti judges receiving bribes through the WhatsApp mobile messaging app.
