Hikmet Hajiyev, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, has attempted to affront a United Nations (UN) expert.

During a roundtable discussion at the European Parliament, UN independent expert Alfred-Maurice de Zayas had spoken about Nagorno-Karabakh’s (Artsakh) right to independence, and stressed that Azerbaijan’s aggression in April 2016 was a violation of the Charter of the United Nations.

But reflecting on this statement by the UN expert, Hajiyev solely noted as follows: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan does not comment on the words by all kinds of pretenders,” reported Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan.
