YEREVAN. – Voting on the fourth President of Armenia will take place Friday at the National Assembly (NA).

Before that, however, the parliament is debating on the matters that are remaining on the agenda.

The sole presidential candidate is Ambassador to UK Armen Sarkissian, who has been nominated for this office by the ruling coalition.

This will be the first time that the President of Armenia will be elected by the National Assembly.

Eighteen matters are on the agenda of the current four-day session of the Armenian legislature.

And there are numerous bills that need to be passed in the second reading.
